Enough Is Enough, Part Deux!
So here’s another reissue I’m pissed about, but for different reasons than the Bowie one. The time between original issue and reissue date is more than sufficient at 45 years. It’s the price!
The Velvet Underground’s White Light White Heat, which has needed a deluxe reissue, is getting one 45 years after it was first unleashed. It looks beautiful, but not $100 beautiful! 3 CD’s, a hardbound 50-page book with an essay by David Fricke? No thanks! And I just know that they’ll be releasing a ‘budget’ single disk and maybe even a 2-disk version before Christmas, anyway.
