We’re Late For Class

About a year ago some group touting themselves as a “live, all improv college band” with “over a dozen rotating members”, who are “pro-herb, anti-contract & some cut & paste” and calling themselves We’re Late For Class left me a comment asking (nay, begging) for me to give their new album a plug.

I replied, “These guys must have heard of the massive influence that UEMN has had on breaking up and coming bands like Green Day and My Morning Jacket. I have heard tell that the so called “Editors” over at Paste magazine troll my site looking for “the next big thing”. In fact, Jann Wenner, founder of Rolling Stone, and I have tea every Wednesday.

By phone.

The boys and girls over at We’re Late For Class should be commended for having the cajones large enough to contact a media figure of my stature and being bold enough to ask me, me, for my endorsement of their band.
Well I’ve had a listen and, lucky for you, the official verdict is a big thumbs up! Four and a half doobies out of five! Very very funny and creative stuff, this. And whoever does your cover art is a friggin’ savant, man.”

They’ve completed a new album, apparantly, and sent me the following note: “We’re Late For Class here. Thanks for your support in the past. We don’t pester our blogging buddies for space every time we release something. But, for #40 – a 2-CD best of called Another Collection, we thought we might ask. Blogroll links are the best, as that’s about our only source of traffic. #40 is streaming and available for FREE download on our blog…WE’RE LATE FOR CLASS

You can post #40 Another Collection, if you’d like. We’ve even made it easy by creating a page with codes to our animated artwork and MP3 players so your readers can hear ALL of both CDs (listening on YOUR blog, not redirected). There’s even some text if you don’t want to bother writing it up. Just copy and paste whatever you want. Naturally, we’d be VERY thankful. And, in the future, when our species comes to rule this planet, your name will be on the protected scrolls so that no harm will come to you…

As Always… Thanks,

Seriously fellas, this little site gets, on average, about 100 visits a day. Don’t know what kind of difference it will make, but heck I’m a fan, so anything I can do to help!
